Yoga Readers: Light on Life 2026

A global reading journey through B.K.S. Iyengar’s luminous map of the inward journey — from the physical body to the divine core, and into living freedom.

We return to Light on Life this autumn, welcoming many new members into the community while offering returning readers a fresh and deeper encounter with the text. Together we will move slowly and attentively through the five koshas (sheaths of being), beginning with the physical body and traveling inward through vitality, clarity, wisdom, and bliss — until the journey flowers as freedom in everyday life.

Light on Life is one of B.K.S. Iyengar’s most mature works. It offers both a profound philosophical map and a practical guide for embodied transformation. This cycle is designed as a spacious, supportive reading experience that connects classical teachings with lived practice in 2026.

To help you orient yourself, I’ve prepared a Yoga Readers Guide.

This explains How the community works, tips for creating your own reading ritual, and an overview of our platforms (website, WhatsApp, Facebook, newsletter).

Note that the access is free but requires sign-up.

We will meet for seven Zoom sessions between late September and mid-December 2026. The opening communal gathering and the final closing session are dedicated to welcome, integration, and community reflection. The five content sessions in between offer focused exploration, with thoughtful groupings that allow both depth and breathing room.

Between sessions you will receive guiding questions, reflection prompts, and short summaries through the newsletter and community groups. Each content session includes thematic exploration, shared reflections, and small-group discussion. The emphasis is on reading slowly and allowing the teachings to land in the body and daily life.

Live participation is free and open as a gift to the global yoga community. An optional Study Pack with full recordings and structured materials will be available for those who want deeper support.

Is Yoga Readers Free for everyone? Yes! You can fully participate in the live Yoga Readers journey without paying anything.
